Maddocks advises Ezypay on its sale to Xplor Technologies

Maddocks has advised the founder of Ezypay, a leading payments business operating in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific, on its sale to US-based Xplor Technologies.
Ezypay is set to integrate with Xplor Pay, a global payments processing platform and part of Xplor Technologies’ SaaS suite. The transaction will allow EzyPay to continue to grow its client base, including in the health and fitness and education sectors, to scale faster, innovate more and to deliver seamless payment experiences.
The Maddocks team was led by Corporate partner Stuart Napthali, who was closely assisted by senior associates Shannon Neill and Adam Hunter and lawyer Rishi Chhugani, along with specialist teams led by Technology partner Greg Palumbo and Employment partner Olivia Hillier. Stuart and his team worked closely with a number of advisers on the transaction, including FT Partners, Wybalena Capital, KPMG Australia and Magpie Advisory.
Stuart commented on the transaction, “We’re delighted to have assisted the founder of EzyPay on this transaction and to have worked closely with the EzyPay team on transitioning the payments business to next phase under Xplor’s ownership.”
