Maddocks provided legal advice to Liverpool City Council, on the procurement of a single-source software system to replace the multiple systems which had historically been in place to facilitate its core operations. These operations include finance, customer relationship management, asset management and human resources.

Throughout the project, the Maddocks Corporate and Commercial team worked closely with Council to support all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring obligations under the Local Government Act 1993 and Tendering Guidelines for Local Government were adhered to. Maddocks assisted the Council to reach agreement with the successful service provider, while maintaining strict accordance with relevant NSW Government mandated ICT procurement framework.

Our considerable experience working with numerous local councils to purchase business critical enterprise grade ICT systems proved critical to the success of this project. With this knowledge and understanding, Maddocks was able to assist the Council to develop a comprehensive Statement of Requirements for the project and detailed project specifications.

We also worked with the Council to ensure consistency across the contractual terms and relevant commercial documents. Our advice also highlighted the benefits of leveraging the NSW Government’s ICT Services Scheme, including its innovative ICT procurement framework.
