About Matthew

Matt is Senior Associate in the Melbourne Construction & Projects team. He has experience working with a variety of public and private sector clients, including State and Local Government as well as experience in house.

Matt is involved in a number of different front end construction negotiations and advice work, as well as preparation of contract guidance and advice for delivery teams. 

Experience

• Industrial, commercial and residential developments

  Advising on and negotiating contractual departures for a variety of private sector participants on large industrial projects (including logistics and warehousing facilities) and residential developments (including apartment developments and combined hotel/apartment complexes) across a variety of Australian Standard and bespoke construct only, design and construct, early contractor involvement and consultancy agreement contract types.

• Rail and civil infrastructure

  Significant experience advising on passenger and freight rail infrastructure projects across the lifecycle from tendering, through project delivery and to disputes, including intermodal freight rail facilities, regional and metropolitan rail construction and upgrades with State and Federal government departments, private operators, service operators and infrastructure owners.

• Energy and Electricity industry
  • Advising specialist electrical subcontractors on and negotiating tender contracts for substation and battery energy storage system projects.
     
  • Representing developers and contractors on large-scale wind and solar generation, and energy transmission projects.
