Stephen is a commercial, procurement and dispute resolution expert in the Maddocks Public Law team with over 15 years in private practice and occupying in-house positions with Commonwealth agencies, including the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA), Airservices Australia and Services Australia and IP Australia (amongst others).

Stephen has significant experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex, high value and high-profile contracts and procurements and dispute resolution.

  Acting for the Department of Health in advising on its ICT Sourcing Project, including advising on the tender process, documentation and drafting bespoke clauses.

• Services Australia

  Acting for Services Australia in relation to a large commercial dispute with a provider, including advising on strategy and settlement and drafting amendments to clauses to deal with ongoing risks.
