Trent is a leading adviser to both senior and subordinated bilateral lenders and arrangers of syndicated debt finance products, credit funds and other direct lenders, as well as corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors, in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He also regularly presents to clients and industry groups on issues relating to the Personal Property Securities Act.

Experience

• Australia 108

  Advising a lending syndicate led by Payton Capital and comprising offshore institutional investors on an $80 million senior syndicated facility for the Australia 108 development – Australia’s tallest high-rise tower.

• Occasio Projects -Yarraville Place

  Advised lender Occasio Projects in connection with the provision of their structured debt finance package to ID Land, developer of the residential development known as Yarraville Place, in Yarraville.

• Emerald Grain - $180m Borrowing Base Facility

  Advised Emerald Grain Pty Ltd, and new shareholding consortium led by Roc Partners, in connection with Emerald Grain’s entry into a $180 million Borrowing Base Facility Agreement with Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation. The transaction involved a number of complexities and coincided with a change of ownership for the Emerald Grain Group, with the shareholding consortium led by Roc Partners acquiring control of Emerald Grain.

• Hotel Indigo, Adelaide Markets

  Advised Primefield Property Pty Ltd on the financing for the construction of boutique hotel, Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets. The 16-storey development was financed by National Australia Bank.
