Maddocks has appointed experienced dispute resolution and litigation lawyer Rosalie Byrne as a partner in the firm’s Canberra office.

Rosalie brings significant experience in dispute resolution and litigation for government and private sector clients. She has expertise in complex, politically sensitive and significant dispute resolution, litigation, investigations, regulatory compliance, administrative and public law work.

Rosalie has worked with government clients for more than 15 years, and has been consistently recognised as a leader in her field by legal directories, including Best Lawyers and Doyle’s Guide.

Rosalie will join Maddocks on 11 November 2020.

Maddocks Chairman Mark Henry said Rosalie’s appointment is a continuation of the long-term growth of the Canberra office and the firm’s national Commonwealth practice.

‘In just eight years we have seen our Canberra office grow from two people to more than 40. We have also seen our national Commonwealth practice go from strength to strength in that time,’ Mark said.

‘With this growth comes the ability to attract outstanding talent in the Commonwealth market, such as Rosalie. We are very excited to be able to welcome Rosalie to Maddocks.’

Maddocks Partner and Commonwealth Sector Leader Simonetta Astolfi said Rosalie was an important addition to the firm’s national Commonwealth dispute resolution and litigation capability and depth.

‘Rosalie is an experienced and trusted litigator who is well known in the Commonwealth market. She will supplement our national Commonwealth litigation team brilliantly,’ Simonetta said.
