The Maddocks team acted for Redwood North on its platform acquisition of Bestech Australia, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial sensors and training equipment for the education, aerospace, waste management, food manufacturing and engineering sectors.

The Melbourne-based target company was founded in 2002 by Sanjiv Bhasin. Its drawcard for Redwood was the sensors side of the business, which automates functions in everything from toasters to construction sites, measuring parameters such as temperature, pressure and force.

Working with our client, Maddocks advised on all legal aspects of the deal, including buy-side corporate establishment, due diligence (including specialist IP diligence), banking and finance, property transactions, the share purchase agreement and post-completion governance documents.
