At Maddocks we are eager to help raise the profile of female counsel and build a stronger platform for diversity and inclusion, which is why we launched our equitable briefing publication Lifting the Bar in New South Wales and Victoria.
As legal practitioners, we are all responsible for doing what we can to promote and achieve equitable practices. One of the areas that requires greater commitment from all firms and our clients is the advancement and retention of female counsel.
Lifting the Bar profiles and celebrates the achievements of the many brilliant female barristers across New South Wales and Victoria from both a professional and personal perspective. While these publications are designed as a resource that enables procurers of legal services to easily search for women barristers with varying degrees of experience in a wide array of practice areas, it also provides personal insights from these talented women on everything from how they developed their careers and the touch points that inspired them to become a barrister to their amazing talents outside of the office.
