About Ambrose

Ambrose is a corporate M&A lawyer, specialising in private capital transactions. He advises Australian and international clients on complex domestic and cross‑border matters, with experience spanning private equity investments, joint ventures, carve‑out transactions and strategic M&A.

Ambrose has worked across a broad range of sectors, supporting private equity sponsors, corporates and management teams through all stages of the transaction lifecycle. He also brings international perspective to his practice, having spent two years working at an international law firm in London, where he advised on cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional transactions.

    • Acting on the acquisition by Modern Star (portfolio company of Pacific Private Equity) of Hart Sport from its founder shareholder.
       
    • Acting on the majority acquisition by LifeHealthCare (former portfolio company of Pacific Equity Partners) of Transmedic Group, a Singapore-based medical technology distribution business.
       
    • Acting on the majority acquisition by Tata Autocomp (part of the TATA Group) of UK-based automotive components supplier, Artifex from Jaguar Land Rover. Additionally, acting on Tata Autocomp's acquisition of IAC Group (Slovakia) s.r.o. through its subsidiary, Artifex.
       
    • Acting on Northrop Grumman’s interest in Australian defence company, CEA Technologies to the Commonwealth of Australia.
       
    • Acting on British-American Tobacco’s strategic multi-jurisdictional carve-out of its 'Global Business Solutions' business to Accenture across eight jurisdictions.
       
    • Acting on the acquisition of Westpac's motor vehicle dealer finance and novated leasing business by Angle Auto Finance (portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management).
       
    • Acting on on Brookfield and EIG consortium’s proposed acquisition of Origin Energy.
       
    • Acting on the establishment of the Cadillac Fairview and Hines 'build-to-rent' joint venture partnership.
       
    • Acting on Veolia’s divestment of certain Australian assets, as part of its global merger with Suez.
