About Greg

Greg has broad expertise advising on technology, media, intellectual property, hospitality, travel, privacy, sports law and general commercial matters. As a former in-house counsel for a global hospitality company, he adopts a uniquely commercial perspective to address his client’s business needs.

He specialises in technology, including licensing agreements, cloud services agreements, outsourcing agreements and procurement agreements; hospitality and travel, including distribution agreements, sales agreements and loyalty program matters; media, including production agreements, broadcast agreements and content subscription agreements; intellectual property, including licensing agreements, content creation and distribution agreements and the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property; partnerships and sponsorships; branding, marketing and advertising; social media; payment systems; booking systems; and privacy, data security and data analytics.

Greg has previously practised in-house as the global Director & Associate General Counsel at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and at leading international law firms, including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York. He is admitted to practice in both New South Wales and New York.


  • Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide

    In his role as Director & Associate General Counsel, Greg’s experience included:

    • the development and global launch of an innovative loyalty program for travel professionals, SPG Pro;
    • advising on and drafting related documentation for various critical strategic partnerships with key partners, including Uber, American Express, Emirates Airlines and China Eastern Airlines;
    • the negotiation, development, and launch of the hospitality industry’s first robotic concierge program, Botlr;
    • the negotiation, development, and global launch of the hospitality industry’s first mobile room key program, SPG Keyless;
    • advising on and drafting related documentation for various arrangements regarding the sale and distribution of guest and meeting room supply with key partners, including Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Flight Centre, Trivago, EY and Helloworld;
    • the development and launch of a new co-branded credit card program in the United Arab Emirates, the company’s first co-branded program in the Middle East; and
    • the multi-year negotiation and global rollout of a new hotel payment system that was launched to comply with federal banking and privacy regulations.
