About Rahil

Rahil is an experienced private equity and venture capital lawyer focused on acquisitions, including managing consortium bids. He also specialises in disposals through competitive sale processes, and advising on distressed restructures, governance and foreign investment issues.

Rahil was previously general counsel of a global consumer business based in South-East Asia and owned by a consortium of leading private equity and institutional investors. He has deep cross-border experience and brings a pragmatic and solution-orientated approach to matters he advises on.

Rahil has worked across a number of sectors, including consumer, retail and manufacturing, with experience practicing in Sydney and London.

    • Real Pet Food – advising on a capital raise in excess of $200 million.
    • Pacific Equity Partners – advising on its acquisition of Australian traffic management business Altus Traffic and its concurrent bolt-on acquisition of Victorian-based traffic management business Traffic Diversions Group.
    • Hosen Capital, Temasek, New Hope, CIC et al – advising a consortium on its acquisition from Quadrant of Real Pet Food for A$1 billion.
    • Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) – advising on its acquisition of PresMed Australia.
    • Carlye-owned digital agency Dept – advising Dept (owned by The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) on its acquisition of professional services firm, Two Bulls.
    • Yamaha Ventures – advising on its investment in ag-tech business TheYield.
