Maddocks advises investor group on Cubic Mini Mix acquisition
Maddocks has advised a group of investors including Corner Capital on its first investment - the acquisition of Victorian concrete business Cubic Mini Mix, based In Geelong.
Corner Capital was founded in 2019 and is supported by a number of prominent Melbourne-based investors, which has raised approximately $50 million for investment.
Cubic Mini Mix is an 11 year old family-owned business, supplying concrete and related products to Geelong and the Victorian Surf Coast.
As a relatively new player In the market, this is Corner Capital's first deal, as it focuses on smaller middle market companies.
The Maddocks team advising the group was led by Commercial Partner Greg Hipwell, supported by Special Counsel Elizabeth Lilley and Lawyer Olivia Smedley.
The team regularly advises on transactions for both founders and investors across a range of market sectors, including the sale of Clark Rubber and Luxafoam to an investor group and the sale of a majority stake in Go-To Skin Care to BWX Ltd.
