Maddocks has advised NPC Media on its deal to provide playout services for Southern Cross Austereo’s 105 television broadcast signals through NPC Media’s new playout centre.

NPC Media is a joint venture between the Nine and Seven Networks. The playout centre will broadcast content for those networks as well.

NPC’s playout centre is an industry-leading facility that provides NPC Media’s customers with a state-of-the-art back-office solution that allows customers to streamline operations, reduce costs and increase collaboration.

The deal will see Southern Cross Austereo broadcast its content from the NPC playout centre within all states and territories other than Western Australia for an initial seven-year period. As a result of this vast footprint, Southern Cross Austereo will be NPC Media’s largest customer.

Our team on the matter included partner Brendan Tomlinson and senior associate Greg Palumbo.
