About Madeleine

Madeleine has experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across a diverse range of industries including civil, mining and resources, power and renewables, transportation and infrastructure. She specialises in the preparation, negotiation and risk analysis of construction contracts across a variety of service lines including EPC, design and construct, downstream procurement, equipment supply and maintenance.

Madeleine’s experience includes advising clients in all areas of the project life cycle, from structuring, risk allocation and tendering through to negotiation and project delivery.

Madeleine’s specialty rests on her business mindset and ability to frame her advice with a commercially practical approach. Having previously worked in-house for an international multidiscipline engineering and construction company, she brings to Maddocks and its clients a deep understanding of the commercial objectives and challenges faced by businesses involved in construction and engineering projects.

Madeleine is an Australasian Rising Star 2023 award recipient by Australasian Lawyer.

Experience

  • Stubbo Solar Farm

    Acting for the successful contractor, Canadian-based PCL Constructors Pacific Rim, as the engineering, procurement and construct (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) contractor for the 400MW Stubbo Solar Farm Project (NSW).

  • Project Banksia

    Acting for the successful construction manager, BESIX Watpac, in the negotiation of a construction management contract, provision of contract start-up advice and drafting of downstream subcontracts in relation to the construction of a vaccine manufacturing facility for CSL owned Seqirus at Melbourne Airport.

  • Waterline Place Residential Development

    Acting for AV Jennings as the developer of a large-scale apartment complex at Waterline Place, Williamstown consisting of quality apartments, town homes and penthouse residences.

  • Frankston Hospital Redevelopment

    Acting for Lendlease Building Contractors as the D&C Contractor on the pass through obligations for the redevelopment and expansion of Frankston Hospital in relation to project specific downstream terms.

  • GMHBA Stadium- Stage 5 Redevelopment

    Acting for the successful D&C Contractor BESIX Watpac by providing contract start-up advice and drafting of downstream subcontracts for the GMHBA Stadium Stage 5 Development (Geelong, Victoria) comprising of a new northern grandstand, indoor cricket hub, entry plaza, sports museum and professional and community sport change rooms and facilities.
